Peyrot maison’s pear and cognac liqueur is made with natural extract of Williams Pears from the Black Forest and Grande Champagne Cognac. The alcoholic base is a young Cognac from the Peyrot distillery, aged two years in oak barrels. The pear flavor is given by a concentrated natural extract of pears which are harvested in October completely ripe and initially left to macerate in a little Cognac. They are then centrifuged to extract the concentrated juice. About 14 kg of pears and a syrup of water and sugar are used for each bottle of liqueur.
