Mediterra 2021

Mediterra red wine belongs to that category of lively, round and fruity red wines to be served even slightly chilled (not too cold indeed) and enjoyed simply when having a sandwich, a snack or to be served as an aperitif. It is made with international grape varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot that give strong fruity, spicy and balsamic sensations and guarantee that rich mouthfeel that all consumers are looking for today. The grapes come from Poggio al Tesoro’s vineyards within the Bolgheri district, in particular they come from the vineyard closest to the sea with mainly clayey soil. The mild microclimate of Bolgheri and the temperature variations between night and day caused by the sea breezes favor the accumulation of aromatic substances and the perfect ripening of the grapes.

The grapes are de-stemmed and softly crushed. They ferment in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a total maceration of 12 days. The wine also carries out malolactic fermentation and ages in second passage barriques for 8 months.
