Bolgheri Rosso Magari 2021
Bolgheri Rosso Magari comes from Angelo Gaja's vineyards in the Bolgheri district. The vineyards are located east of the via Bolgherese going up towards the hills. It is a privileged position both for the ventilation, which determines considerable diurnal temperature range, and for the very pebbly type of soil of alluvial origin, ideal for Cabernet. The blend with a prevalence of Cabernet franc focuses more on elegance than on power. In fact, the main feature of Ca’ Marcanda's Bolgheri Rosso Magari is its suppleness.
The grapes are harvested by hand. They ferment in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is carried out and the wine ages for one year in oak barriques.
Features
Colour: deep ruby red with purple rim.
perfume: varied with black currant, plum, blueberry, myrtle, rhubarb, licorice and hints of spices.
Taste: pronounced and well rounded, silky tannins, fairly refreshing, long finish.
Suggestions
It is meant to be enjoyed in its youth for the balanced character. Versatile in food pairings, but at its best with grilled meat.
Recommended with: roasts, pork, meat sauce pasta.
