Le Ballerine 2022
It is a lean, graceful, joyful wine just as its name evokes: Le Ballerine (the Ballerinas). It is produced with the most traditional of the Tuscan vine varieties such as Sangiovese blended with two varieties of French origin such as Merlot and Petit verdot, and it is elaborated as a modern wine linked to its territory of origin. The traditional freshness of Sangiovese combines with the fruity roundness of Merlot. The small amount of Petit verdot enriches the wine with color, aroma and body, without weighing it down.
Each grape variety is harvested separately according to the different moment of perfect ripeness. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed to ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in steel.
