Lapierre Morgon Cuvee Camille 2022 Magnum
The blend is 100 % Gamay based, and is grown with organic viticulture in Beaujolais, France, in the canton of Morgon on an arid and poor granite sandy terroir.
After the carefully selected grapes are harvested by hand, vinification is carried out by semi-carbonic maceration without SO² or yeasts for 24 days, then ageing in 216 l oak barrels for 9 months. At bottling, few sulphites are added instead of being filtered.
The wine, which is very well-balanced, presents itself on the market with a fruity and floral character and a strong finish.
Little curiosity: this cuvee was created both to commemorate Camille Lapierre's return to the estate and to celebrate the memory of his grandfather.
