Grappa Lo Chardonnay in Barriques 12 mesi (con astuccio)
It is a monovarietal barriqe-aged grappa. Nonino was the first distiller to create grappa from a single grape variety: it was made with Picolit grape in 1973.
Production is relative to the vintage harvest. Fresh and selected Chardonnay pomace ferments in stainless steel vats under vacuum at a controlled temperature and are immediately passed to distillation to avoid unwanted fermentations. Distillation is discontinuous in steam-heated copper stills according to the Nonino artisanal method.
The grappa ages 12 months in barriques in the cellars of Nonino and is bottled without the addition of dyes.
