Barbaresco 2020
The Barbaresco DOCG appelation owes a lot to Angelo Gaja. Although innovative and counter-current, with his Barbaresco Gaja has given visibility to a denomination that for too long had been overshadowed by Barolo. Thanks to Angelo Gaja, Barbaresco is no longer the younger brother of Barolo, but a wine with equal dignity. Gaja’s Barbaresco is not just a great Piedmontese wine but a symbol, a label that has made history. Produced with a selection of grapes from the vineyards in the township of Barbaresco and a long aging in wood, it has an intense, elegant, sophisticated taste and has an excellent aging potential.
Gaja’s Barbaresco is produced with Nebbiolo grapes selected from different vineyards. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature and aging takes place in barriques and large barrels.
