Franciacorta Brut Rosè
The grapes of Contadi Castaldi's Franciacorta Rosé come from a particularly exposed and ventilated position; the vineyards have the typical soil of Franciacorta: pebbly, draining and moderately calcareous.
It is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir macerates for a few hours with the skins to give the base wine its pink hue. Some of the base wines also undergo a short aging in barrique. The sparkling wine ages on the lees for over 2 years and is dosed with 5 g / l of sugar.
