Franciacorta Brut Blanc de Blancs P.R.

Monte Rossa has chosen a blanc de blancs to pay homage to the founders, in fact P. and R. are the initials of the founders of the winery: Paola Rovetta and Paolo Rabotti. Blanc de blancs is not only pure elegance but also pure Chardonnay, the grape variety that matches better than any other the Franciacorta territory. Blanc de Blancs P. R. was created on occasion of 35 years of activity and is the result of a blend of the best Chardonnays of the estate.

The composition of the cuvée includes 65% of wines from the current vintage and 35% of vin de réserve. The complexity of the cuvée is increased by the fact that some of the base wines are fermented in oak, while others in steel. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method and the wine ages on the lees for over two years.
