Etna Rosso 2021
Etna Rosso is one of the most important wines for the Murgo company, not only because it is the most produced, but also because it represents the territory and the Etna tradition, putting it within everyone's reach, trough a wine with an immediate approach. Nerello mascalese can be a difficult grape especially in young wines as it is endowed with important acidity and tannins, but Murgo's selection and careful wine making make it a tasty and enjoyable wine.
Grapes come from various plots on the eastern side of Etna. The yields do not exceed 55 quintals per hectare. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for 6 months in large barrels.

Colour: pale ruby red.
perfume: cherry, wild berries, black pepper, cloves.
Taste: dry, medium-bodied, delicate tannins, mineral finish.
Suggestions
It is very versatile in food pairing. It matches pasta with meat sauce or grilled meat; but we think you could also try it with a rare tuna steak.
Recommended with: roasts, pork, meat sauce pasta.
