Crognolo 2020
Crognolo is a pure Sangiovese from Valdarno subregion, interpreted in a modern key, using French barrique. The vineyards are located on the first hills north of the Arno river in a ventilated area with good south exposure.
Wine making involves fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature and a total maceration of 20 days. The wine ages for over a year in second passage French oak barriques.
Features
Colour: deep ruby red.
perfume: intense on the nose with fresh aromas of violet, red cherry, raspberry, bay leaf and a touch of cinnamon and licorice.
Taste: fresh entry, excellent balance, tasty and ripe tannins, fruity finish.
Suggestions
It is a clean and precise Sangiovese with a soft taste. It pairs perfectly with oven pork ribs.
Recommended with: roasts, pork, meat sauce pasta.
