Chardonnay W... Dreams 2022
The original name of this wine, released for the first time with the 1987 vintage, was "Where the Dreams have no end ..." deliberately playing on the title of the U2 song "Where the streets have no name". In fact, the wine is Silvio Jermann's homage to U2's album "The Joshua Tree" released in 1987. Ten years later the name changed to "Were Dreams, now it is just wine!" and the design on the label also changed. Finally, in 2003 the name on the label became "W ... Dreams ..." leaving everyone the freedom to fill in the ellipsis, but in the intention of the producer it is "Where Dreams can happen".
It is a 100% Chardonnay, coming from the Collio hills with marl and sandstone soil. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages for almost a year in 300-liter French oak barrels. For some years now, for this and other wines, Jermann has chosen the screw cap closure, which avoids the risk of corking problems.
