Cardamaro Amaro 75cl
Cardamaro is prepared with an infusion based on wine and different types of cardoon, with the addition of selected herbs such as Gentian, Liquorice and Clary Sage. The recipe is the brainchild of Rachele Torlasco Bosca, who in the 1950s was struck by popular tales of the extraordinary health and digestive virtues of the Nizza Monferrato hunchback cardoon. From that moment on, she began to study her own infusion recipe together with other herbs from the area. The recipe was refined over the years by the house herbalists, adding other herbs. The refinement of the bitter takes place in wood and lasts at least 6 months, giving the wine hints of dried fruit, grapes and ginger.
