Brusco dei Barbi 2019
Brusco dei Barbi was born in the 1970s with the desire to experiment with alternative fermentations of Sangiovese from Montalcino. Its success has prompted the winery to add it to the line of its wines and has kept the original label from the 1970s. It is produced almost entirely with Sangiovese from the Montalcino estate, grown at an altitude of 400 m on clay and marl soil.
The de-stemmed and crushed grapes are cooled before the start of fermentation to favor greater extraction of color and phenols. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature. No wood aging.
