Tavernetto is a pure Pinot Noir named after the vineyard from which it comes. This plot, cultivated exclusively with Pinot Noir from fine Burgundian clones, enjoys a special microclimate, with much lower rainfall than the average for the estate.
This leads to an early ripening and to small, compact bunches with a low yield, ideal for the production of elegant Pinot Noirs.
Features
Colour: deep ruby red with typical garnet reflections.
perfume: complex, broad with aromas of violets and small red fruits, roasted coffee and cocoa.
Taste: elegant, full-bodied, with full and evident fruit, balanced with a pleasant minerality and a long, spicy finish.
Suggestions
Try it with guinea fowl breast or Venetian style liver.
Recommended with: roasts, pork, mushrooms.
