Vermentino is a coastal grape, typical of the northern Mediterranean and is the basis of the white wines of Bolgheri. It seduces with its fragrant scents of fresh flowers and aromatic herbs.
In the Guado al Tasso estate it is cultivated in different plots, chosen for the soil that is most favorable to it. Each parcel is harvested at the right time of ripeness and processed separately. The wine making involves soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the juice in steel vats at a low temperature to preserve all the aromas. At the end, the final blend is decided.
Features
Colour: vivid straw yellow with a greenish shade.
perfume: insists on mint, fennel and thyme, which also reveal grapefruit peel, white peach and green apple.
Taste: it has a medium body and the impact of alcohol is balanced by a favorable acidity.
Suggestions
A tip: try it with salt cod fritters!
Recommended with: sushi and raw fish, vegetarian dishes, pizza, eggs, shellifish, crab and lobster, fresh cheese.
