Bolgheri Superiore 2019 (magnum)

With this product, the Argentiera estate manages to convey a great expression of Bolgheri, the vineyards from which the grapes are selected are located in the southernmost part of the appellation, looking directly at the Tyrrhenian Sea at an altitude of 200 meters. The soils are clayey and calcareous, this climatic and morphological situation gives the wine great minerality and freshness thanks also to the sea breezes it receives during the day.

The harvest is manual, after the grapes are destemmed, the whole berries end up in steel vats where the alcoholic fermentation takes place with a maceration of 25-30 days. The wine is then decanted into French oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation takes place and matures for 18 months.

Bolgheri Superiore is an elegant and engaging wine that manages to enclose the essence of this vocated territory.

Features

Colour: intense and lively ruby red.
perfume: black cherry, blueberry, cassis, vanilla, cocoa, cedar wood, licorice and eucalyptus.
Taste: the wine is juicy and fresh on the palate with silky tannins, it has structure and balance, a slender drink that closes with a persistent and tasty finish.

Suggestions

To be served in large glasses to allow the wine to express itself at its best, it can be uncorked even now, although it shows excellent ageing potential. We recommend it with stewed game dishes.
Recommended with: roasts.
