Bolgheri Rosso Camarcanda 2020
Bolgheri Rosso Camarcanda is the most important wine that the Gaja company creates in Bolgheri. It is made with the estate's best Cabernet Sauvignon and a portion of Cabernet franc. The blend is the same as in Sassicaia, but also the type of stony soil of the Ca 'Marcanda vineyards is very similar to that of the Sassicaia vineyards.
Camarcanda 2020 is vigorous and energetic, enjoyable now but suitable of further bottle aging. After alcoholic fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature, the wine has aged for 18 months in small barrels.
Features
Colour: lively ruby red.
perfume: Mediterranean scrub and oaky flavors stand out; blackberry, blueberry, black currant and tobacco also flow.
Taste: powerful with a dense texture of ripe tannins; balanced and refreshing in the lingering savory finish.
Suggestions
We advise to uncork it on special occasions and pair it with beef or venison.
Recommended with: roasts.
