Barolo 2019
Prunotto is an important name in the history of Langhe wines. Alfredo Prunotto determined the success of the winery which he ran for over 25 years; the activity was carried on by Beppe Colla who, identified the best vineyards of Prunotto estate and was the first to make a Barolo and a Barbaresco from a single vineyard, putting their name on the label. Beyond these single vineyards Barolos, Prunotto continues to produce a classic Barolo, blending grapes from various vineyards and various villages, as was originally the custom.
The grapes ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins. The wine also carries out malolactic fermentation in steel and subsequently matures for at least 18 months in wooden barrels of different sizes.
