Based in Chiusa, in the province of Bolzano, in the middle of the Isarco Valley, the winery is a cooperative of 135 contributing members founded in 1961. It is the youngest of the South Tyrolean cooperative wineries and the most northern; in 60 years it has emphasized the great personality of the white wines of the Isarco Valley, with different labels, all reliable and impeccable. The partners who bring the grapes to the winery are farmers rooted in the valley, who know their vineyards in detail and have the goal of producing healthy and high-quality grapes. The cellar is equipped with the best tools to transform these grapes into great wines, especially whites. The strong point of the winery is to have plots of vineyards along the entire valley, on both sides of the Isarco Valley, at varying altitudes starting from the bottom of the valley at 250 m above sea level up to reaching 1000 meters.

Despite the difficult conditions of the steep slopes of the mountains, often terraced and in need of continuous maintenance, viticulture has been rooted since ancient times and enjoys unique geographical factors, being the junction point between the Alps and the Mediterranean from the climatic point of view. In addition, the extension of the vineyard also presents different geological formations, which give the possibility of finding suitable situations for multiple vine varieties.

In total, Cantina Valle Isarco manages 150 hectares of vineyards and produces 950,000 bottles of wine a year. The production is divided into different commercial lines: the classic line stands out for its advantageous quality / price ratio, the selections are often awarded by Italian and international guides, as the flagship of South Tyrolean viticulture.
