Argiano Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2019
Produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes in Montalcino, under DOCG Brunello di Montalcino, it is grown with spurred cordon and guyot, with organic farming, on marly and clayey soil with a high concentration of limestone at about 280-310 m above sea level.
After the harvest it undergoes a cold pre-fermentation of about 4 days, after which fermentation takes place in steel and cement vats for 3 weeks. It matures for 30 months in Slavonian and French oak barrels of different capacities, and finally undergoes lengthy bottle ageing.
Argiano's flagship wine, which reconfirms itself in this 2019 vintage after the successes of 2018. An elegant, refined wine, broad on the nose and palate, structured and savoury, with an interesting, perfectly blended tannic texture. We recommend letting the wine rest a little longer in the bottle before tasting it because it can still improve.
