Alto Adige Valle Isarco Kerner Aristos 2021

The Aristos line of Cantina Valle Isarco includes wines made from grapes selected only from the most suitable places for each variety and the vines are cultivated to produce particularly low yields. The aim is to obtain classy wines, representative of the varietal and capable of longevity. The grapes of this Kerner Aristo come from vineyards located above 800 m of altitude; they are steeply sloping vineyards facing south and south-east with shallow alluvial soils rich in gravel and quartz. From the activities in the vineyard to the operations in the cellar, everything is calibrated in order to obtain a wine of great structure and expressiveness.

The harvest takes place in mid-October. The grapes are gently pressed and left to macerate with the skins for a few hours. Then the free-run must ferments without skins in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation and ages in contact with the fine lees for 7 months in steel.
