Alto Adige Pinot Nero 2022
The Pinot Noir of the classic line expresses the typical characteristics of the grape, that is the soft color, the refined aromas of small berries and fresh flowers, the refreshing taste. Pinot Noir is one of the most difficult vines to grow, because it is very demanding in terms of climatic conditions and soil; on the hilly slopes of South Tyrol it has found a favorable environment and has been cultivated for over a century, giving excellent results. The grapes come from vineyards in the municipalities of Caldaro and Appiano between 400 and 550 meters above sea level on moraine, gravelly and limestone soils.
The harvest is manual. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed and fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for a few months in large wooden barrels.
