Alto Adige Moscato Giallo 2022

The Moscato Giallo of the Kaltern winery in Caldaro is a sweet and fresh white wine, it is obtained from grapes harvested when fully ripe, when the berries are rich in sugar; they are immediately vinified in steel to maintain all the freshness of the aroma and taste. Moscato giallo is a variety of Moscato not widespread outside the Italian regions of the north east, it is very characteristic. It is an aromatic grape variety and its strong point is its perfume.

It is a wine of the classic line of the Kaltern winery, the grapes are harvested by hand in several areas at altitudes between 350 and 450 meters above sea level. They are de-stemmed and left to cold macerate for 12 hours, to better extract the aromatic substances from the skins. Then they are pressed and the free-run must ferments at a controlled temperature in steel vats. The wine rests in steel on the fine lees for 3 months and is then immediately bottled.
