Moscato Rosa 2022
The Moscato Rosa grape variety is a kind of Moscato that is grown almost only in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. It is a gray grape variety, because the skin has an intermediate color between that of white grapes and that of black grapes. It is called Moscato Rosa (Rose Muscat) above all for its scent, which recalls rose petals and is normally vinified with residual sugar to make it a dessert wine. In this case it is produced with fresh grapes, without drying, to maintain freshness and lightness on the palate.
The vines are between 6 and 21 years old and are trained in pergola systems. After the manual harvest, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with a week of maceration on the skins. Fermentation is stopped with 50 g / l of residual sugar. After racking, the wine ages for 4 months in steel in contact with the fine lees. The closure is a screwcap.
