Abruzzo Pecorino Giocheremo con i Fiori 2021

The white wine Giocheremo con i Fiori is obtained from the Pecorino grape variety and its name anticipates its main aroma, that is the floral scent (“Giocheremo con i fiori” means “We will play with flowers”). On the palate it is taut and vibrant due to its delicious acidity. Pecorino is a white grape variety grown mainly in the hilly areas of the Marche and Abruzzo. It has recently been re-evaluated, whereas in the past it was only used in blend to the point that it was about to disappear. Today, however, it has been understood that the charm of this early ripening variety is given by its flavor compounds and the good acidity which turns into a mouthwatering sensation on the palate.

The grapes come from a vineyard of 5 hectares at 300 m above sea level facing east and north-east on clayey-limestone soil with a sandy substrate. The hand-picked grapes ferment in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages in steel vats on the lees for 5 months.
