List of products by brand Cavalleri
Cavalleri
Cavalleri was one of the founding producers of Franciacorta wine and is one of the most esteemed in the province of Brescia.
Rooted in the Franciacorta area, the Cavalleri family founded the current winery in Erbusco in 1967; they produced their first still wine with the harvest 1968 and in 1979 they made their first traditional method sparkling wine.
Despite having maintained the dimensions of a small producer, it has established itself as a reference point for the appellation; their rigorous style, respectful of the territory, is also highly appreciated by enthusiasts. From the purchase of the first vineyard at the end of the nineteenth century to today, four generations have alternated in command of the business.
In 2005 Cavalleri converted to organic farming and is now moving in the direction of biodynamics, because they are convinced that only respect for the soil and the environment can give quality to the grapes. And great wines can only be made with high quality grapes in the Cavalleri philosophy.
The 40 hectares of vineyards are almost mainly cultivated with white grapes. In fact, the territory of Franciacorta, on soil formed by morainic deposits resulting from the glaciations of prehistoric times, is particularly suited to the production of elegant sparkling wines with Chardonnay grapes.
