Cabreo Il Borgo 2020

Cabreo Il Borgo wine was born in 1982 in the Municipality of Greve in Chianti from the combination of Sangiovese and Cabernet sauvignon. Not only was the blend original but also the production mindset, that is based on low yields and barrique aging. The Cabreo Il Borgo was born as a Supertuscan.

Today Cabreo il Borgo is an elegant Tuscan wine that represents the territory of Greve in Chianti.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature and maceration on the skins lasts about 15-18 days with pumping over and punching down. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in steel and ages in French barriques for 18 months.
