Rozès White comes from white grapes of Malvasia, Rabigato, Viosinho, Verdelho grown in the northernmost part of Portugal. The addition of distillate blocks the fermentation and therefore a part of the sugars remains unfermented and gives a sweet taste to the wine, which ages in large oak barrels. In spite of the time, it always remains quite young and fruity; and retains a good share of its initial sweetness. The pale yellow color tends to darken becoming yellow-gold and yellow-brown. Its consistency makes it suitable to be served cold as an aperitif.
