Prugnolo Rosso di Montepulciano 2023 Box da 6 bottiglie
Boscarelli's Prugnolo is a well-balanced blend of Sangiovese and Mammolo, aimed at enhancing the freshness of the former and the floral and spicy notes of the latter. Produced since 1989 as Rosso di Montepulciano, it has adopted its current label since 2003, with an average production of 20,000 bottles per year.
The vineyards, located in Cervognano on calcareous, sandy soils of alluvial origin, have an average density of 6500 vines per hectare.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Vinification involves the use of indigenous yeasts and fermentation in steel vats. The wine then matures for a few months in vitrified cement vats, where malolactic fermentation takes place. Before bottling, a light filtration is carried out, and marketing begins in March following the harvest.
