Monkey 47 Dry Gin is the result of the distillation of 47 spices from the Schwarzwald.
For 2 days, part of the botanicals are left to macerate in the base spirit. After that, the other spices are placed in special baskets where they are crossed by steam from the heated base spirit.
After distillation, the gin is matured in earthenware containers for at least 100 days.
Before bottling, the distillate is cut with black forest water and brought to an alcohol volume of 47%.
This Dry Gin is particularly spicy and complex due to the presence of the 47 spices and botanicals used in its production.
Features
Colour: crystal clear.
perfume: intense fragrance of juniper, botanical herbs and citrus aromas.
Taste: spicy and citrusy, with a bitter finish.
Suggestions
Enjoy neat or as a base for cocktails. For the Gin Tonic: use 50 ml Monkey 47, a few ice cubes and 150 ml tonic; then garnish with two cucumber slices.
