Merlot daSolo Monferrato 2012 Box da 6 bottiglie
As the name also indicates, Marchesi di Gresy's Merlot daSolo Monferrato is made from pure Merlot grapes. The emerged cap technique is used for maceration, followed by a submerged cap post-maceration for 10-20 days.
Once alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are completed, the wine ages in French oak barrels for 30 months. After bottling, it ages in bottle for another 24 months before release.

Colour: deep ruby red with violet reflections.
perfume: red fruit, cherry, plum, spicy notes of black pepper and leather.
Taste: elegant, soft, excellent balance between medium-textured tannins and a pleasant freshness.

Already ready to be tasted now, it still has qualities that allow it to evolve a few more years in the cellar.
