Syramusa
Syramusa is more than a limoncello, in fact it was created thanks to an agreement of the great liquor house Stock with the Chamber of Commerce of Syracuse: the liqueur is produced starting from the prized Syracuse IGP lemons. In particular, 900 grams of lemon peel are used for each liter of liqueur produced. For this Syramusa lemon liqueur has very intense aromas and a pure lemon taste. Siracuse Lemon PGI is famous for being a particular juicy citrus fruit with a peel rich in essential aromas. The sweetness is moderate and not cloying and together with alcohol they create a perfect balance with the refreshing and lively taste of lemon. The bottle has a shape reminiscent of Hellenic amphorae to create a link also in the image with the city of Syracuse.
The production involves an initial maceration in alcohol of the lemon peels and a subsequent dilution with water and sugar. Nothing else is added.
