Hakushu 18 Years old 48% 70cl
Hakushu is born within a forest located on Suntory Mountain at an altitude of 700 m or more, nestled deep within Mount Kaikomagatake; its distillery was founded half a century after Yamazaki, Suntory's other distillery.
At the time of fermentation, Suntory uses only wooden washbacks to ensure maturation by retaining heat in the cool air of the distillery; special attention is given to the stills and casks chosen so that they are perfectly adapted to the altitude and environment. Hakushu rests for at least 18 years in various carefully selected casks.
This whisky was born from the union of the passion and tradition of the best Japanese craftsmen with the nature of Japan, in fact it plays a fundamental role in the creation of this product; starting from the unique softness of the water made possible by the filtration of rain and snow through millenary rocks, arriving at the microclimate and altitude of the place that give Hakushu an extremely special taste.
In the end, the product is a high-quality whisky with a unique connection to the nature of Japan, with a rich, strong, crisp and slightly smoky taste.
