Chivas Regal XV Aged 15 Years

Chivas Regal XV was born with the same spirit with which the Chivas brothers started their business in Aberdeen in 1801. It is a blended Scotch whiskey produced by Chivas Brothers, now owned by Pernod Ricard, composed of a blend of single malt and single grain from various distilleries in Scotland, aged for a minimum of 15 years and partly in barrels which had previously contained cognac.

Features

Colour: amber.

perfume: sweet and rich, with notes of stewed apples, orange marmalade, honey, cinnamon and raisins.

Taste: soft and fruity, with aromas of cooked pears and caramel; final with a touch of vanilla.

Suggestions

Chivas Regal XV can be used to create many cocktails, especially those with champagne.

Ogni qualvolta io riceva la tredicesima e la quattordicesima mi faccio un regalo comprandomi una bottiglia di livello superiore a ciò che di solito bevo (solitamente Chivas Regal XII). Seconda volta che lo acquisto ed ormai è divenuto un classico. È un blended, quindi manca della struttura di certi Single Malt, ma fa la sua parte e si fa apprezzare. Rapporto qualità/prezzo indiscutibile, consiglio a chi magari poco avvezzo ai Single Malt torbati. 4 stelle più che meritate.
