Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina 2020

Santa Cristina is an Antinori brand with an excellent reputation for over 60 years. Santa Cristina was originally the name of one of the Antinori estates in Chianti, then it became the name of a wine label with a favorable quality / price ratio. Santa Cristina wine has been able to renew itself throughout history, to the point that today a huge new cellar and bottling line near Cortona in the province of Arezzo is dedicated to Santa Cristina wines.

Santa Cristina Chianti Superiore is a traditional red wine, based on Sangiovese, which expresses the authentic Tuscan taste in a simple and reassuring sip.

Sangiovese grapes ferment in two different ways. A part at low temperature to preserve the purity of the perfumes; another part at a higher temperature to facilitate the extraction of color and tannins from the skins. The two batches are then blended and the wine ages in steel for a few months before bottling. No aging in wood is foreseen for this wine.
