Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano Riserva 2019

Perano Estate’s Riserva is a classy Chianti Classico, coming from beautiful vineyards at 500 meters above sea level in the township of Gaiole. The vineyards are located on steep slopes in the shape of an amphitheater facing south-west. Sangiovese grows on a soil that is ideal for its perfect ripening and the sunny microclimate subject to significant diurnal range guarantees healthy grapes rich in phenols and acidity, which give the wine the potential for a long aging and a very elegant taste. For the Chianti Classico Riserva Frescobaldi selects the best grapes and let the wine age in large oak barrels. 

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins. Punching down and pumping over are carried out to facilitate the extraction of phenolic and aromatic substances. After racking, the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for almost two years in large oak barrels.
