Chianti Classico Riserva 2018
The vineyards used for this Riserva are about 20 years old and are located 250 meters above sea level in Castellina in Chianti, the training system used is the classic spurred cordon. The soil is clayey matrix of medium texture.
After harvesting, the grapes undergo alcoholic fermentation on the skins for 15 days at a controlled temperature in cement containers.
The wine is then aged in barriques for 18 months and in bottles for another 6.
It is a purebred reserve that manages to combine power and elegance in a great balance.
Features
Colour: ruby red with garnet reflections.
perfume: blackberry and blackcurrant almost jam, licorice, tobacco leaf.
Taste: the palate is robust and decisive, the backbone is however fine and elegant, creating an austere wine with a beautiful freshness.
Suggestions
Wine that can be drunk immediately but will give its best with a rest of 5 years in the cellar.
Recommended with: meat sauce pasta.
