Chartreuse Verte is the original version of the Carthusian order liqueur created in the 18th century and produced in the great Charterhouse of Voiron in the French Alps. The recipe for this was handed down with daring passages surviving the French Revolution and the expulsion of the Carthusian order from France. Now it is produced again in France in Voiron in a large factory under the supervision of the monks themselves, who keep the recipe secret.
Chartreuse Verte is a liqueur produced with 130 different herbs and has an alcohol content of 55%.

Suggestions
You can have it at the end of a meal as a digestive, lightly chilled. Served with ice it can instead be an aperitif and can also be used in the mixing of cocktails.
