Champagne Brut Dom Pérignon 2013
Officially born in 1947, Dom Pérignon has become a legend, one of the most sought-after and loved Champagnes, produced only in great vintages (27 times in the first 70 years). Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in almost equal parts result in a harmonious and elegant taste with an agile structure. Its elegance is the result of a selection of top-quality grapes and very long ageing on the lees. Dom Pérignon is made from Chardonnay from Vertus and Pinot Noir from Hautvillers, both classified as Grand Cru.
The base wines ferment in steel and undergo malolactic fermentation. After fermentation, the wine is matured on the lees in the bottle for up to 10 years.
The Dom Pérignon Champagne Brut 2013 is the result of a vintage characterized by unique climatic conditions. After a cold and wet winter followed by a cool and rainy spring, the summer was hot and dry, with exceptional sunshine in Champagne. These conditions contributed to producing high quality grapes with a promising balance between acidity and roundness.
The grape harvest took place from 28 September to 15 October, and the result is a Brut Champagne that reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail typical of the Dom Pérignon style. This vintage offers a final product characterized by a complex aromatic profile, underlined by a lively freshness and a well-balanced structure.
