Carignano del Sulcis Riserva Buio Buio 2019
Buio Buio is a pure Carignano cultivated in Southern Sardinia, partly with bush trained vines and partly with spurred cordon trained vines. The soil is made up of red clays and sands and the vineyards enjoy a warm, dry and windy climate. Carignano as a grape variety prefers a Mediterranean climate, resists drought, therefore it is perfectly set in the Sulcis. The main feature of this territory is the great brightness enjoyed by the vines that allow perfect ripening of the grapes and give life to wines full of energy.
The grapes ferment in steel vats with a maceration of 18-20 days. Most of the wine ages in used tonneau and barriques for one year. A part, however, matures in steel. Once the final blend is made, the wine ages for 6 more months in a concrete tank.
