Aqua di Venus Bianco IGT 2022
A wine created from the combination of 3 grape varieties: Vermentino 45 %, Chardonnay 35 % and Sangiovese 20 %; Vermentino and Sangiovese are grown in the Maremma area while the Chardonnay is grown on the La Solatia Estate, near Monteriggioni. The altitude varies from 190 to 250 m and the soil is mainly clayey or clayey-sandy with the presence of iron.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to preserve the primary aromas and the free-run must undergoes alcoholic fermentation in steel; malolactic fermentation is not carried out to preserve the wine's final freshness.
The wine shows the characteristics of all the blends, in fact, it has the typical citrus of Vermentino, the structure of Sangiovese and the softness of Chardonnay.
A small curiosity, the name is a tribute to Venus while its design to Renaissance art, again connecting to the Greek goddess, the ribs represent the ribs of the shell from which she emerged from the waters in Botticelli's painting.
