List of products by brand Allegrini
Corte Giara
Allegrini is a historic family of the Valpolicella Classica based in the municipality of Fumane and its wines have conquered consumers and critics over the years.
Since 1854 Allegrini has represented the noblest winemaking tradition of Valpolicella, thanks also to the fact of owning vineyards in the most suitable areas of the Valpolicella Classica, precisely in the valleys of Fumane, Sant’Ambrogio and San Pietro in Cariano.
La Poja wine, vinification in purity from the Corvina grape, is a flagship of the company and a tribute to the Valpolicella area. But there are many reasons to honor the experience of the Allegrini winery, such as having thoroughly studied the drying process of the grapes, essential for the production of Amarone and Recioto, and having replaced the traditional Veronese pergola with high-density planting systems, much more suited to the production of quality wines. In addition, the Allegrini were among the first to use the barrique for the maturation of their wines, thus reducing the total aging times.
Allegrini's range of wines includes not only the entire array of red wines from Valpolicella, but also original reds such as La Poja and La Grola and other wines from neighboring territories such as Soave, Lugana and Bardolino. Annual production is 1.3 million bottles from 120 hectares of vineyards.
