Suavia is a family winery located in one of the most fascinating places of the Soave area, where the soil is dark and sometimes reddish, of basaltic origin and the slopes are steep. Today the winery Suavia is run by three sisters: Alessandra, Meri and Valentina Tessari and is one of the most prestigious and appreciated wine producers in the entire Soave area.
Suavia pursues a traditional style and produces authentically territorial wines, which are appreciated precisely for their frankness and rigor, without extravagance. The Tessari sisters own 20 hectares of vineyards, cultivated with certified organic farming; they are mainly home to indigenous varieties starting from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. Their Monte Carbonare wine is considered one of the most prized labels of the Soave Classico, a real “grand cru” of the appellation; it has won the Gambero Rosso 3-glass award 17 times since its first harvest in 1986. But the whole range, which includes only white wines, is full of charm and is reliable. Annual production is around 180,000 bottles.
