In 1975, Mario Pojer and Fiorentino Sandri, two young boys, decided to start this adventure, founding the Pojer e Sandri winery between the Adige and Cembra Valleys in Trentino.
Pojer had just graduated in San Michele all'Adige, while Sandri was a metalworker and had just inherited from his father 2 hectares of vineyard with 2 cows and an ox to work the land. The winery was a small business, for family wine production only. It started with few resources, but a lot of passion.
Production started with 2,000 bottles per year, and today produces 250,000 bottles.
Only a year later, the company was discovered by Veronelli, a well-known Italian journalist, who wrote an article in Panorama. The following year, the first overseas collaborations began and the wine was exported to America.
The company's wines have always been avant-garde, fresh and fragrant wines that reflect the varietal identity.
