Pavò is a young winery in Franciacorta. Its headquarters is in Iseo, province of Brescia; they have recently launched on the market their line of Franciacorta DOCG wines, which includes 4 labels: Brut, Satèn, Nature and Extra Dry.
The peculiarity of Franciacorta territory is due to the soil origin, resulting from the melting of a glacier south of lake Iseo. The soil is a gravelly, sandy layer, rich in minerals, as it comes from the erosion of the Alpine rocks that the glacier, with its expanding and flowing has brought downstream forming morainic undulations more than real hills. Here Chardonnay and partially also Pinot noir and Pinot blanc grow with good level of acidity and flavors, to such an extent that they can be used to produce fine sparkling wines with the traditional method.
Pavò produces 25,000 bottles annually.
