The Paltrinieri winery is now managed by Alberto Paltrinieri, nephew of Achille who founded it in 1926. With Alberto, the winery has established itself as one of the liveliest and most dynamic realities in the Lambrusco context and is an absolute reference point for Lambrusco di Sorbara, produced in the province of Modena.
The 17 hectares of vineyards of the Paltrinieri family extend into the heart of the appellation, that is the locality of Cristo di Sorbara. The soil is sandy of flood origin and enjoy a unique microclimate, being halfway between the two rivers Secchia and Panaro.
Alberto Paltrineri has specialized in the vinification of Lambrusco di Sorbara to the point that today he offers 6 different labels, each with a different style.
The business is managed on a family and artisanal level and produces 150,000 bottles a year.
