Drinkability, balance, length and savoriness make a simple wine great.
Friulano is an identity grape variety for Friuli-Venezia Giulia, widespread in almost the entire region. It is the most popular and beloved grape for the Friulians themselves, thanks to its slightly aromatic taste and non-trivial structure. Puiatti’s Friulano grows on alluvial soils of red clay on a gravelly layer in the municipality of Romans d’Isonzo.
Grapes are harvested in late September. Only the free-run must ferments at a controlled temperature in steel vats. The wine ages on the fine lees for 4 months in steel. It does not carry out malolactic fermentation.
