S’Elegas is a fresh and light DOC white wine produced with Nuragus grapes grown on the Vigne Vecchie estate. Nuragus is an ancient native Sardinian vine variety, it is said that it was brought by the Phoenicians. It is widespread in southern Sardinia and is versatile in winemaking, in fact it can give still, sparkling and sparkling wines. On the limestone hills of the estate at an altitude of 200 m, Nuragus is particularly suited to being vinified as a dry wine with discrete roundness and body.
The grapes are subjected to a soft pressing to extract a pure flower must, which is left to clarify by cold decanting. Then it ferments in stainless steel vats at a low temperature and stays in steel without contact with oxygen until bottling.
