Lugana DOC 2024

Bolla’s Lugana is a traditional white made with accuracy, with a balanced and lightish taste. The Lugana DOC includes white wines typical of the area south of Lake Garda divided between the provinces of Brescia and Verona. In this area the glacial and alluvial activity at the origin of the formation of the lake has left a unique soil, formed by a white clay rich in limestone. In the past it was a marshy area, but after the reclamation carried out by the Serenissima Republic of Venice it became fertile, even if hard to work. This clay is particularly hard when it is dry and becomes muddy when wet. However, the vines are able to find nourishment and give excellent quality wines. In addition, the mild climate due to the proximity of Lake Garda favors the perfect ripening of the grapes. The variety of grape grown is the Turbiana, a clone of Verdicchio, which is set in this area.

The grapes are pressed and the free-run must is clarified and then sent to alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature.
